Recycled Yarn

The SVSM Recycled Advantage

At SVSM, we believe the future of textiles is circular. Our recycled yarn division transforms pre- and post-consumer textile waste into valuable resources, offering a truly sustainable alternative to conventional spinning.

Our key differentiator lies in our zero-dyeing process. Equipped with cutting-edge open-end spinning machinery, we expertly sort and blend recycled fibers by colour. This innovative method ensures rich, consistent yarn shades without consuming a single drop of water for dyeing, drastically lowering environmental impact.

The Process

The pre-consumer waste (clipping scraps or rag waste) and post-consumer waste (textile waste) are segregated based on color and composition. The segregated waste is then mechanically recycled and shredded to produce colored regenerated fiber. This regenerated fiber is blended with recycled polyester fiber made from PET bottles at the desired blending ratio. The blended fiber is then spun into colored recycled yarn, also referred to as pre-dyed yarn. These recycled yarns are economically priced to meet the growing demand for colored yarn in the fast fashion industry.
